Toni Collette will anchor the upcoming Apple TV series Lenni. The project is currently in production in Sydney, Australia. The show serves as an adaptation of the Norwegian series Pernille, created by Henriette Steenstrup.

Collette portrays the title character, a divorced social worker and mother of two. The narrative follows her as she balances a new, high-stakes case against the ongoing turmoil in her own home. Apple TV describes the series as a darkly comedic mystery centered on family dynamics.

An official description notes that Lenni spends her days fighting for other people's families. Her own household remains in a state of hilarious chaos. The season tracks her work and personal lives as they collide.

The cast includes Ciarán Hinds, Dan Wyllie, Josh McKenzie, Celeste Barber, Genevieve Hegney, Arka Das, and Wayne Blair. Dearbhla Walsh, known for directing Bad Sisters and Margo's Got Money Troubles, helms the production. Sarah Scheller adapted the material.

Apple TV characterizes the story as an exploration of what it means to have a family, lose one, or pull one apart. The show aims to blend humor with the weight of these relationships. Filming activities in Sydney are proceeding according to schedule.
