A residential structure on Distillery Road in Greenbrier, Tennessee, sustained heavy damage during a fire that broke out in the early hours of Wednesday. Emergency crews responded to the 2500 block of the road at 8:24 a.m. after receiving reports of a structure fire.

Greenbrier Fire Chief Kyle Hamill stated that firefighters initiated an interior attack immediately upon arrival. Their primary objective was to search for any occupants inside the burning home while simultaneously working to suppress the flames.

The blaze spread to the attic space, which complicated the suppression effort. Firefighters conducted extensive overhaul operations to locate and extinguish hidden fires within the structure. These efforts were necessary to ensure the fire was fully out before crews could leave the scene.

Officials estimate that 30 percent of the residence was damaged by the combination of fire, smoke, and water. The home is now reported to be uninhabitable. No injuries were reported as a result of the incident.

Investigators are currently working to determine the exact cause of the fire. They will analyze the scene to identify what triggered the blaze. The investigation remains active as authorities gather evidence from the damaged property.
