The movie industry took a financial hit this weekend.

Halloween kept audiences at home on Saturday, dragging down national box office figures. Studio estimates released on Sunday project total weekend revenue at just under $56 million. This figure marks the second lowest weekend total of the year.

The documentary 'You Can See Everything' secured the top spot. It earned $10.6 million from 2,655 theaters during its third weekend in release. The film, directed by Nathan Fielder and Lance Oppenheim, focuses on Elizabeth Holmes. It has now grossed $63.9 million against a reported production budget of $7 million. This marks the first time the title has claimed the number one position.

DC Studios' 'Clayface' finished in second place. The Warner Bros. release earned $10.4 million, trailing the documentary by only $200,684. The movie dropped 57% from its opening weekend. Its domestic total now stands at $44.1 million. This figure matches its reported $44 million production budget.

Laika's animated feature 'Wildwood' rounded out the top three. Fathom Entertainment expanded the film's run to 3,100 screens in the United States and Canada. It added 150 theaters for its second weekend. The title grossed an estimated $7.5 million, a 39% decline from its debut. Its cumulative total reached $25.9 million.

Olivia Colman starred in 'Wicker,' which placed fourth with $4.1 million. The film depicts a woman who commissions a husband made of wicker, a role played by Alexander Skarsgard. 'Street Fighter' took fifth place in its third weekend with $3.2 million.

Sundance independent 'The Only Living Pickpocket in New York' expanded to over 1,000 additional theaters. It earned $1.9 million, securing a top ten position. Netflix reported $455,000 for the World War II film 'The Mosquito Bowl' across 349 screens. The title 'La Bola Negra' earned $418,000 in 38 theaters over its third weekend, raising its total to $1.2 million.

National box office collections remain 17% higher than the same period last year. The year-to-date total approaches $8.5 billion.
