The U.S. Marshals Service located an 18-year-old man in Tennessee on Thursday night. The arrest connects to a September shooting in Richmond, Indiana, that left one woman dead and two juveniles injured.

The suspect is Joshua Wade Smith. He was arrested in Knoxville, Tennessee. The Wayne County police department announced the capture on social media. An arrest warrant for Smith was issued on Oct. 2 by Wayne Circuit Court.

Court records show Smith faces two felony counts of murder. He also faces three counts of attempted murder. The warrant lists three high-level felony counts of robbery. It includes one mid-level felony count of armed robbery and one low-level felony count of burglary.

The incident occurred on the morning of Sept. 28. Police responded to a report of shots fired near 6:15 a.m. The location was the 800 block of South East Street near U.S. 27. Officers found Cecelia Hargrove and two juveniles who were injured. Both juveniles were airlifted to a hospital. Police have not publicly identified the two juveniles.

Investigators detained a juvenile following the initial investigation in September. They then issued a warrant for Smith. The next step in the case involves transferring Smith to Indiana to face the charges listed in the Oct. 2 warrant.
