Roseville quarterback Chase Browning threw for 162 yards and three touchdowns on Friday night. His performance led the Raiders to a 24-14 victory over Coon Rapids. The win secured the Metro Maroon subdistrict title for the Raiders. Roseville finished the regular season with a 4-4 record. That mark is the best for the program since 2017.

The season began with mixed results for the Raiders. They entered the final week needing a win to claim the subdistrict crown. Coon Rapids was the last obstacle. The Raiders took control through the air. Browning converted key plays into scoring drives. The final whistle ended a four-year wait for the trophy.

Browning described the moment as an amazing feeling. He said the team worked hard to see the effort pay off. The Raiders now enter the Class 6A playoffs with a subdistrict title under their belts. The next step is the playoff bracket. The Roseville team will face a determined opponent in the first round.

Other results shaped the 6A landscape. Forest Lake running back Mack Jurkovich rushed for 245 yards and two scores. The Rangers beat Stillwater 31-13. Jurkovich finished the season with 1,600 rushing yards. He has committed to play for St. Thomas. The win locks up a No. 2 seed for the Rangers.

Centennial defeated Anoka 38-6. The result likely secures a No. 3 seed for the Cougars. Anoka was held to single digits for the first time this season. Mounds View edged White Bear Lake 22-16 for the Metro East title. Tanner Jude scored with 65 seconds left. Preston Johnson intercepted a pass to seal the win. The defense held Wyatt Stachowiak to six completions on 24 attempts.

East Ridge beat Woodbury 42-31. Logan Tretter ran for two touchdowns. Elias Mather returned an interception for a late score. Park defeated Eastview 18-10. Manny Vargas scored twice for the Wolfpack. He caught a touchdown pass and returned a punt 75 yards.

Lakeville South kicker Dylan Nelson made a 36-yard field goal with one second left. The kick gave the Cougars a 17-14 win over Rosemount. The upset complicates the seeding picture in the south metro for the playoffs. The regular season is now over for all teams.
