The Chicago Bears returned to the winning column with a decisive victory over the Seattle Seahawks on Monday night. The game took place at Lumen Field in Seattle, where the visitors dominated the defending Super Bowl champions. The final score was 34-17 in favor of Chicago. This result extends the Bears' winning streak to two games.

Defensive tackle Jeffery Simmons made an immediate impact in his first game as a Bear. Wearing number 99 and orange sleeves, he overpowered guard Grey Zabel to sack quarterback Sam Darnold on Seattle's second possession. Simmons later teamed with linebacker Devin Bush for a tackle for loss. He also deflected a pass in the fourth quarter. His presence on the field was evident throughout the contest.

Running back D'Andre Swift provided the offensive spark for Chicago. He scored three short touchdowns during the game. His first score came from one yard out with 5:38 left in the third quarter. That play put the Bears up 20-9. Swift added another touchdown from five yards out with 8:28 remaining in the fourth quarter. That score extended the lead to 27-17. He finished the night with 69 yards on 27 carries.

Quarterback Caleb Williams managed the offense with precision. He completed 17 of his first 25 passes for 165 yards and a touchdown. He finished the game 24 of 34 for 247 yards and no interceptions. The Bears opened the game with an 80-yard drive that took 17 plays. Williams connected with wide receiver Luther Burden III for a one-yard touchdown to start the scoring.

The game featured several critical moments that determined the outcome. In the fourth quarter, Seattle cut the deficit to 20-17. The Bears faced third and nine from the Seahawks 44. Coach Ben Johnson called a lateral disguised as a screen pass. Wide receiver Kalif Raymond caught the ball and ran 39 yards to the five-yard line. Swift scored on the next play to seal the drive.

Penalties remained a struggle for the Bears on the night. The team was flagged 10 times for 85 yards. This followed a previous game where they were called nine times for 69 yards. A holding penalty by cornerback Clark Phillips negated a fourth-quarter interception by safety Cam Lewis. Defensive tackle Grady Jarrett was also flagged for grabbing the face mask of an offensive lineman.

The Bears' rushing attack lacked power beyond Swift. Running back Kyle Monangai missed his fourth consecutive game due to turf toe. Without him, the run game struggled against one of the league's best defenses. Swift's longest run was seven yards. Running back Roschon Johnson carried five times for 17 yards.

Cornerback Jaylon Johnson faced a difficult assignment against wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba. Johnson whiffed on a screen pass that resulted in a 20-yard gain. He was also flagged for pass interference late in the first half. The Seahawks scored five plays later to narrow the gap to 13-9 with 38 seconds left in the first half.

The Bears now return home to face the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The game is scheduled for Sunday at Soldier Field. Kickoff is set for 7:20 p.m. The Bears enter this matchup with a 6-2 record. Tampa Bay has a 3-5 record.
