Apple TV subscribers will see six new programs added to the streaming service's lineup during November, beginning with the second season of the sports comedy "Stick" on November 4. The service costs $14.99 per month.
The series, created by Jason Keller, stars Owen Wilson as Pryce Cahill, a former professional golfer whose career ended 20 years ago. After his marriage collapsed, Cahill works at an Indiana sporting goods store. He stakes his future on Santi, a troubled 17-year-old golf prodigy played by Peter Dager. Wilson also serves as an executive producer.
On November 13, the service adds "12 12 12," a heist drama structured around three timelines: the 12 months of planning, the 12 hours of the heist, and the 12 days afterward. Anthony Mackie plays a disgraced FBI agent, and Jamie Dornan plays an American career criminal. The two characters contest each other across Europe as the story moves toward a raid on a bank vault beneath Zurich.
The same date adds "Being Heumann," a film set in 1977 about Judy Heumann, a young disabled woman played by Ruth Madeley, whose protest with a coalition of others became the longest occupation of a federal building in American history. Mark Ruffalo plays the bureaucrat opposing them. The film is directed by Siân Heder, who directed "CODA."
Other November additions include the docuseries "Awkwafina: The Unlikely Cook" on November 6, the family special "Snoopy Presents: 12 Days of Snoopy" on November 13, and "Way of the Warrior Kid" on November 25. The latter stars Chris Pratt as a Navy SEAL who develops a program for a bullied middle schooler played by Jude Hill, and Linda Cardellini plays the boy's mother. It is based on the novel by Jocko Willink, directed by McG, and written by Will Staples.
Several ongoing series will release new episodes during this period. "Brothers," starring Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson, and the British comedy "Small Prophets" both continue through November 4. "Knife Edge: Chasing Michelin Stars" runs through November 6. "Where's Wanda?" continues through December 9, and "Nocturne" through December 25.
