Apple has specified that the iPhone Duo requires 60-watt power hardware to achieve its fastest wired charging speeds. The company's support documentation states that the device can reach 50 percent battery in approximately 20 minutes, but only when paired with specific accessories.

The required setup includes the USB-C cable provided in the retail box and a compatible power adapter. Apple lists its 40W Dynamic Power Adapter with 60W Max as an approved option, currently priced at $34. Customers may also use third-party adapters rated for 60 watts or higher, provided the hardware uses Adjustable Voltage Supply and supports USB Power Delivery 3.2.

Wireless charging operates at a slower pace. Apple indicates the iPhone Duo can reach 50 percent in about 30 minutes using a MagSafe Charger, which is listed at $30. Alternatively, users can employ an adapter rated for 35 watts or higher. The guidance identifies compatible options from Apple and Anker.

The publication notes that third-party chargers often offer better value than first-party hardware. Anker's 100-watt charging brick is highlighted as a top choice for users who also charge Macs and iPads. The article also points to Apple's 2-meter USB-C cable as a discounted option for those needing more reach than the included cable provides.

Apple's 40W Dynamic Power Adapter remains a viable first-party choice at its reduced price. The support documentation clarifies that while the device supports fast charging over both wired and wireless connections, the headline speeds depend on the user pairing the phone with suitable accessories.
