Resident in the Philadelphia region should bundle up for a chilly morning on Election Day, Tuesday, before enjoying a sunny afternoon. Forecasters expect some areas to start in the upper 30s Fahrenheit, prompting a need for a light jacket. Patchy fog may linger during the morning commute, but it will clear to reveal bright skies. With light winds and no rain expected, conditions favor outdoor activities and polling trips regardless of the time voters choose to head out.

This warm spell follows a long stretch of above-normal temperatures. The region has experienced 18 consecutive days without rain. Wednesday will see temperatures climb into the mid-70s, nearly 15 degrees above the seasonal average. Morning fog remains possible, but the day will otherwise be dry and pleasant.

The dry trend will likely end Thursday. Showers become increasingly likely during the day, with rain chances continuing into Friday. Despite the precipitation, temperatures should stay in the low 70s. The system will move away by the weekend, bringing sunshine back. Saturday looks pleasant with highs in the mid-60s.

A noticeable cooldown arrives Sunday as temperatures settle into the lower 60s, a range closer to typical early November weather. The 7-day forecast shows a high of 72 degrees on Tuesday, followed by 75 on Wednesday. Thursday and Friday will see highs of 73 and 71 respectively, with rain showers. Saturday will reach 66 degrees, Sunday 60, and Monday 58 with a chance of showers.
